My name is Roger Riedi.

I was born and raised in Klosters – a region that shaped me from an early age and ignited my love for landscape and nature.

I pursue photography as a hobby that combines perfectly with my other outdoor activities in our beautiful surroundings. It has been a part of my life for over forty years now. During this long time, the technology has developed rapidly –

from analog cameras and editing processes to the possibilities that the digitization of photography offers today.

One could say that I have observed this development towards

was able to witness a large part of it.

From the very beginning, my photographic interest has been in landscapes. I am fascinated by the moods and changes brought about by nature.

Light and weather, the stillness and vastness of nature.

I often work on small, private projects – be it thematic series, black and white works, or photographic essays. But perhaps you are also familiar with the photo calendars I have been producing for a long time, featuring subjects from the rear Prättigau region.

I also find great joy in the opportunity to produce my own high-quality prints on fine paper. For me, there's a special appeal in not just viewing images on a screen, but holding them as physical objects in my hands. Such a print possesses a unique presence – far removed from the fleeting, swipe-and-go photography of smartphones.
