An autumn trip to the Outer Hebrides (islands visited: Eriskay, Uist, Benbecula, Berneray, Harris and Lewis) as well as to the Isle of Skye and the Scottish Highlands.
Some pictures from this trip are now available in the " ON THE ROAD " section of this website.
Outer Hebrides: A wild, remote archipelago off the west coast of Scotland with spectacular beaches, rugged cliffs, and stark moorland. Islands like Lewis, Harris, and Barra combine Gaelic culture, traditional crofting landscapes, and impressive nature with a feeling of profound peace and seclusion.
Inner Hebrides: Close to the mainland, but no less pristine: Islands like Skye, Mull, and Islay impress with dramatic coastlines, mystical mountains, and a whisky tradition. The landscape is diverse – from gentle bays to steep cliffs – and vividly reflects the rugged, ever-changing light of the west coast.
Scottish Highlands: The heart of wild Scottish romance: wide valleys (glens), tranquil lakes (lochs), and majestic mountains (bens). The Highlands are sparsely populated, characterized by rugged beauty, changeable weather, and a deep history – a land of myths, castles, and unspoiled nature.
