What are "Fine-Art-Prints"?

“Fine art print” is not a strictly defined term, but it has become established in the fields of photography and printing.
It is less about marketing—and more about materials, printing techniques, and durability.

The following factors define prints of this type:

  • Special, solvent-free papers help ensure that such prints are resistant to aging.

  • The use of pigment printers with high color depth, combined with these papers, enables prints with a lifespan of up to 200 years.

  •  Color management using ICC profiles for paper and printers.

  •  Papers, backing boards, frames, mats, and all adhesives used for presentation are also solvent-free.

  •  Fine art prints are often part of limited and numbered editions.

  •  The prints thus meet the standards for archival-quality images.

What I Offer

  • With the exception of the three large panoramic images on the front wall and the two back walls, all prints were produced, mounted, and framed by me.

  • Without exception, Hahnemühle papers were used for all images: William Turner, Sugar Cane, and Photo Rag.

  • The images are produced in a limited edition of no more than 7 copies (+1 artist’s proof). They are numbered, signed, and delivered with a certificate and hologram. The three large panoramic images are not part of the limited editions.

  • After you place your order, the prints will be produced specifically for you within 1–3 business weeks.

  • The three panoramic images are also printed on high-quality materials (Hahnemühle Photo Rag) by a third-party manufacturer.

  • Because most of the prints are fragile (glass), shipping by mail is not ideal, but it is possible.

  • You can pick up orders from me in Saas, or if you are in Klosters and the surrounding area, I would be happy to deliver your order personally to your home or vacation rental.

  • If you'd prefer to purchase the prints unframed, that's no problem at all. Please place your order through my online store, where you can select the options you want. Or feel free to contact me by email or phone.
